Question for whoever isn't bored out of their bodies by this place. What kind of things do you do to not be bored? I mean, do you go to hang out at any place in specific or something? Specially when going with someone, assuming you don't spend every time just in each others' houses.

I assume dinner out is a good idea but I'm pretty sure there has to be something else to do in this prison.

Sorry for not answering your last letter in such a long time. I've spent most of the last month doing missions in an attempt to not drive myself nuts. Anyway I have a question for you: with whom does one have to talk to make a reservation or something where you work?

No. I'm just asking if anyone knows of a place were I can go with someone so we don't die from boredom.

Well, if it's not an actual date, I just cheat and go flying. There's a lot to explore and that's almost always more fun with people. [See your problem Ikki is that your wings are too small or something. Actually Kotomi probably wouldn't be the flying type anyway.]

Okay so a date by any other word is still a date.] I find rooftop dinners work best. It helps to know what the girl finds most interesting too.

I was thinking of going for dinner at Seventh Heaven, someone I know is a cook there and I said I would drop by to eat while it was his turn or something one day so...

Rooftops are quiet and away from everyone else, but with a great view of the sky or everything below. What's wrong with rooftops? They're perfect for all sorts of things. Like dancing.

Wouldn't it be troublesome? And weird, dinner on a rooftop only us two and someone else cooking... As if we were some rich snobs or something.

It takes a lot to persuade me to dance so I understand. If you want to learn though, I've taught my younger brothers, and learned it from Izou. Though it just depends on the girl. Some really enjoy dancing more than others.

Nah, it's fine. I'd set it up to be ready before you got there and you could surprise her with it.

Izou? I didn't know pirates had dance professors.

I would have thought that when crashing marine balls you would be more into the "crashing" than the "dancing" parts.

[Unless he means crashing by just being there, frolic around and then return to his crew.]

It's kind of more like, sneak in, spike the punch, get information, charm the ladies better than the marines can, and wink to highest official you can find while still getting out alive. Disguises aren't optional, and just causing war wouldn't be any fun.

Well, I can successfully say it's worked for me here. And I'm told Luceti is hard to grab dates in? [He's undecided about whether he believes it or not, but eh, sure.] Or however you want to word it. "Outings of a quiet nature with talking."

I'm sure there are people who would disagree with that last part.

If war is what they find fun I doubt they actually want to sneak into marine balls.

[Who knows, Ikki may or may not use this kind of stuff later on, but normally it would require him to actually care about those things.]

Their loss. Though I'm told it's one of the only perks about being a shichibukai. Then again, Jinbei wasn't one to ever go, but Jinbei doesn't even like chairs. [There is a really long explanation to that; starting with what shichibukai are and who Jinbei is and how he's a fishman and the chairs thing might be a joke because Marco deadpans the weirdest things. But he doesn't give it. Enjoy that Ikki.]

[And all that has to happen is for Robin to find out the next part. Since Marco is not even as smooth as he thinks he is.]

Chun-Li was only here about a month and a half. I asked her on a date early though. Something of a promise to Ace.

[He can just ask to Smoker in the future... If he actually cares enough for it, at the moment he doesn't so he just lets it slide.]

You mean you asked her on a date because of a promise to Ace, or that you asked her on a date for Ace?

It's half promise, half dare. He seemed to think I was incapable of getting a date before him, or without his help. So we each promised that when or if the other got kidnapped we'd try to meet more New Feathers so at the very least the one kidnapped didn't have to worry about the other one worrying or being lonely.

And meeting new people stops you from doing that?

[Ikki finds that idea kind of stupid, sorry.]

[Shrugs.] It keeps him busier.

[Both Marco and Ace would save face in front of other people, but it's not something Marco can admit to even to his phoenix bro.]

Why do you pester him?

Because he's the only brother out of 1600 I've got here, we prank each other back and forth, and before Luceti I hadn't really seen him in months so it's like I get to catch up now.

Prank each other, my brother and me didn't do that even when we were kids. Nor with the others. Though I suppose it may have been what some of them would have done.
