Ikki, sorry but can you tell me about your dad?

[That's a something he never thought anyone would ask him about, specially after saying that he was an asshole. One would think that would be enough for a description about that man. Not that Ikki has issues talking about him, other than hating him forever with a burning passion, but he has learned to life with that by now.]

In general or do you just want a briefing about his life and assholery as a father?

'M just... [...It's matching up so far] Just checking uh, something. I'm not good with... lying. But just deal with me and tell me like... in general. I can't explain why yet, okay?

[He can't give much information though.]

In general, huh? About that I can tell you that the bastard was a rich man, he was a business man and raised an empire of his own, creating his own corporation and all that. He was pretty successful though don't ask me why, my best guess is that he knew how to fool people with his tongue, he certainly fooled women all around the world. And he had a hand in pretty much any business and field, or ended having a hand in them, whatever.

Does that serve or do you want me to go into more details?

[If he remembers right, Ikki said something about having way too many kids before. He's looking for that, even if the spirit of it is there]

[There's not much more he can say about him anyway.]

He slept with at least ninety nine women, because he had at least one hundred of kids all around the world and Shun is my full brother so... I wouldn't be surprised if there were more women he had dragged to his bed or more kids he had ignored when he gathered us. Though that stuff isn't known by the public, of course, I only learned of it after I became the Phoenix Saint and by then the bastard had died already.

[The memory causes him to snarl despite himself.]

[If only he had still been alive, Ikki would have made sure that he didn't leave the world without knowing first hand the pain he had caused. He wouldn't have allowed him to just die peacefully in bed as some innocent and loved man, Saori and the others be damned. Specially Saori.]

Though if you ask to a certain someone else I bet she will claim that he was a pure and good man who was fulfilling a divine task. [Snort.] Of course she's fucking biased, she was raised as a princess and spoiled to death.

[He would have liked to see Saori go through half of what he or the others had to go through. Actually she should have gone through it, wasn't she Athena? Maybe then she would have something to back up her guts and mindless courage.]

A...Ah, that's really messed up, still. [He groans, actually, and sighs. But it is how he remembers it. He shakes his head]

Sorry for asking you that. So you do remember it the same as you told.

[He swallows back the rage and hate, he's used to do it so it comes to him as easily as it is for those emotions to raise. There's no pain, he refuses to accept its existence anymore, so talking about it doesn't bother him as much. Part of him even appreciates it, it reminds him who he is, why he has the life he has and who is the responsible of it all beyond a reincarnated goddess that was raised as a spoiled rich kid.]

It's not a problem. But it sounds as if you have some sort of problem, is there someone not remembering things like you do?

Yeah- she's... a friend of mine. She's remembering her dad wrong. [He only heard about that dad once, but he knows this is true]

[It's not time for an experiment... Though it wouldn't be the first time one hits them outside of "schedule", but with the recent draft and everything... Then again that's probably giving them too much credit, assuming that they can think "oh, let's give them a rest for a week".]

Could it be an experiment? Or a side-effect from being kidnapped?

I don't know, it's got to be something, though! [She was...] She was... gone. [Kidnapped, he can't bring himself to say. He failed her there] Before the draft, she only got back in time to ship out to it.

[Sounds like a kidnapping. Unless...]

She didn't die, right?

[Rin's wording is vague enough to possibly mean that as well.]

[There's a very pronounced intake of breath before-]

[A small part of him had hoped against that, most of him however is too roughed to bring itself to hope. He could ask when did Rin notice the issue, but do people talk often about their parents? He honestly doesn't know but in his own experience the answer is he rarely does. He has only talked three times or so about his father in Luceti and he only talked about him once back in his own world, four times in around twenty years isn't a good number.]

Maybe it's not that she's remembering him wrong, but that she has forgot things about him. In that case it could be permanent.

[A pause.]

My sist-, I mean a friend I have, forgot someone important to her after she died, everything about them vanished and even after she returned home and came back here, the memory is still gone.

...That isn't right. [He's got to get it back somehow. People sitting around without their memories. It's just Wrong, honestly]

You can say that again. Though in the case of my friend it was almost good, since that person forgot her as well. It still doesn't feel right, but this place screws with us enough that for once I don't mind acting as if I don't know and letting that stay that way.

Maybe you should ask around, who knows, there could be someone who could help with returning her memories or something.

[That still doesn't feel right. Memories are important, even painful ones... but whatever. That's Ikki's business, and Ikki can handle Ikki's business]

Yeah, I'm going to be doin' just that. Not before I figure out how to tell her though. I didn't last time 'cus I got confused, but it doesn't feel right to go behind someone's back about things like this either.

[Ironically he thinks that it's mostly Selphie's business, not his and now that she has left and returned and so much time has passed... It just feels pointless to bring it up. Then again he can hardly give so much importance to memories regarding Luceti, not when everyones forgets them upon returning to their worlds. Memories from their worlds, though, are a different matter.]

You may prefer to ask around first, unless you are looking forward to have a fight over whose memories are wrong. Your friend may not take it well to be told that she's remembering things wrong.

Yeah... I know. She's already kinda pissed a me, and she's probably gonna get more mad at me before I figure it all out.

[Exhale]

I see... I suppose then you'll have to hope that she will get over it with time no matter how angry she gets with you.
