were going to be penpals now I gues so I thoght i oughta say hi to you like this and write to a letter right off! Uh, guess its nice to meet you or whatever. this is the 1st time I signed up for something like this so bear with me.

[worth noting, if this isn't obvious already, this is the worst penmanship ever]

I dont like no know were where you live or anything so I cant write a real letter but if you want to tell me I can drop them off in fuu fuchu future. writing in this book feels weird for a letter anyway.

Hello, Rin.

To be honest I'm not exactly sure how I ended in this thing myself, so it's the first time for me as well if that matter for anything. I don't really care how we do this, if we're not using the journals I will just go and get paper for it. I don't see the point of coming all the way to where I live or me going to where you live just to drop a letter and there's no mail system here. I'm against dropping the letters somewhere else, though, it would be an invitation for anyone to read those and I don't like the idea even if there's nothing important in them.

Do you have a pet? I suppose an option would be to send the letters with a pet to each other or something.

[They are letters. Kind of. It's okay it takes time for them to get to them, maybe. Ikki's not much of a writing person so he sure takes his time getting back to it.]

sounds like they should have worked a bit more on this thing besides pairing people and telling us to just write letters. Journals will it be, then. I'm not much of a writing person, though, so I suppose you'll have to bear with me taking time to reply back at times.

If those are letters, I think they should have a certain length, but I don't know which length is supposed to be the best. I don't mind short letters if there's nothing you want to tell.

[But that would kind of defeat the point of this, wouldn't it? Fine he will send in a question.]

If you decide to open up, you might find one familiar smiling girl.. she's not speaking up just yet, you apparently have to start or she'll stand there quietly forever. You know what she's like. ]

[It's not really usual for Smoker and Ikki to get visitors, much less at those hours in the day. It may not be too early, but for the guy who returned yesterday night from a four day mission it's pretty early. At least he was awake already and had just stepped out of the showed when the knock comes.

And thus Kotomi is received by a wet blue-haired boy wearing a towel.]

[A towel over his shoulders, of course, and just a pair of trousers that he threw on to open the door. Have a startled look for a moment, he didn't expect Kotomi to... Well, to even remember where he lives. And after the surprise wears off he has to wonder what time is it and if he slept too much after all and missed the time to call her. Oh well, whatever, he steps aside leaving room for her to pass by.]

[ She just keeps smiling, even making a polite bow after he's done talking. ]

[ Aaand back up, still smiling, yup, there's nothing strange going on! This is clearly all normal, right? (Besides, the fact she remembers where he lives says a lot with how oblivious Kotomi is, it means she must have written it down somewhere or something like that..

She walks into the apartment once he steps aside, just pattering along as usual before glancing back to him once she's passed him, giving a small nod. ]

I had early breakfast today.. what about Ikki-kun?

[They are friends so he supposes she has decided to write down the address or something after all, she probably does it with everyone. He closes the door once she's inside, raising the towel to dry his hair a bit more.]

Not yet, I just got up twenty minutes ago or so.

... Ikki-kun. [ Yes, she's the one to call him first for once - it's not even at their usual journal talking times, and she sounds a little serious about this. ]

[... Ikki stares at the journal in shock and horror for a while before he answers, because... Kotomi is calling him. Why. His first idea... And his second and third and basically all his ideas, are that she has read something in a book and wants to ask him about it. Or has heard about something and wants to ask him about it.

Hopefully it won't be something too horrible. After all she already knows about hugging and kissing, cuddling is something natural too so that's fine. And he can't see her as she is asking about sex even if she has read or heard about it so...]

[ Still said in the same tone, as if it isn't a completely ridiculous request from her - as cutesy and innocent as she is.. ]

[That's a something he never thought anyone would ask him about, specially after saying that he was an asshole. One would think that would be enough for a description about that man. Not that Ikki has issues talking about him, other than hating him forever with a burning passion, but he has learned to life with that by now.]

In general or do you just want a briefing about his life and assholery as a father?

In general, huh? About that I can tell you that the bastard was a rich man, he was a business man and raised an empire of his own, creating his own corporation and all that. He was pretty successful though don't ask me why, my best guess is that he knew how to fool people with his tongue, he certainly fooled women all around the world. And he had a hand in pretty much any business and field, or ended having a hand in them, whatever.

[He's not as his place anyway, currently staying with Marco. Ikki glares at the journal before he bothers to reply with it, only doing so because it's just a voice message. His camera doesn't show an image of him, only of the ceiling of the room where he's now.]

[If that's what Rin is asking. He's not drunk either, which is probably an improvement, but given how much undirected anger laced with pain lays in his voice one may think that it would be better if he was.]

["Still in Luceti" should serve to express that state in which you're not okay, but you could be worse leaving no chance to really complain about it. He knows that there was an announcement about Kotomi's departure, so he doesn't doubt Rin already knows that.]

[Selphie was never more grateful to see an elevator in her entire life.

She was in a state of too tired to care at the moment as it arrived on the sixth floor. She made a beeline for the apartment she shared with Ikki and Smoker. She was dirty and tired and wanted to do nothing else but sleep.

When she comes in, Hyoga comes bounding over, happy to see one of his people back. With a pat on his head, Selphie kicks off her dusty boots, drops her gear next to them and beelines for the living room. She wants to sit down for a few minutes before heading to bed but that doesn't happen. She knows that she's tired but not that tired. The perky brunette can barely keep her eyes open as she curls up on the couch and falls fast asleep.

There will be a wolf playing Guard Dog until she wakes up or someone puts her to bed.]

[Nothing like returning home and finding a sleeping brat in his couch. He knew Selphie was back and that she was tired, but he figured she had made it to the bed. Ikki sighs and pats Hyoga's head as the animal nuzzles against his thigh as he observes the sleeping girl.

Without a sound he picks her up and moves her to her bedroom, he will try to, not undress her, but at least make sure that she's as comfortable as she can be in her clothes. Though if it seems as if she'll wake up he will just put the covers over her and let her sleep.]

[Selphie's dead to the world when Ikki picks her up and doesn't manage to wake up for quite a while.

When she does wake up, she sits up blinking in confusion about who put her to bed. Just give her about twenty minutes to wash the dirt of the mission off and she'll be strolling out in her pajamas to join Ikki in the main area of their home away from home.]

[Ikki's sitting on the couch, checking the journal without much interest, Hyoga sitting on the couch as well, laying its head over Ikki's legs and enjoying the occasional petting the man gifts him.]

Yes, it is.

[He looks up at her, from head to toes making sure that she looks as fine as she could be at the moment.]

But only if you follow the rules, are you rebellious enough to want to have breakfast anyway? I have pancakes ready to be made, or I could prepare something else if you want.
