Someone to look up to and try to become like them? Everyone I have met back home were assholes, fools that believe in fairy tales or guys who preached around despite having needed a bunch of brats to make them open their eyes or help them.

I have. But they aren't people I would want to emulate.

[He may admire them in a way, he won't deny that. But to say that he would want to follow their steps or be more like them would be a mistake.]

I don't mean that they aren't admirable in some ways, just that I have no wish to have them as role models or gain their approval or whatever.

I don't care if it makes sense or not, it's the way things are. I gave up on trying to impress people or myself years ago, I suppose that whatever wish to emulate others or gain approval I could have went through the drain together that.

Besides, even if I wanted to, the people I would probably choose are people I could never be similar to. That certainly helps to make things easier.
