5th Rise of the Phoenix ஜ Voice/Action Backdated to Monday's morning
[During the past two weeks, Smoker, resident of Community Building 1, room 27, got some company in the form of a small kid named Ikki. Said kid though, is now again his proper age and though he intentionally slacked on saying much during the past day once he woke up as his normal self, Ikki supposes that it's about time to... He doesn't know, but probably some thanks are in order, as well as getting his ass out of Smoker's place. He's not really sure where the other man is, mostly because Ikki himself has yet to exit the room he got while he was here, so he'll use the journal for a check-in. That's exactly for what it serves, right?]
Smoker, you around?
[There, no filter, because Giles didn't get to teach him that, which is logical as he was a frigging kid, and Ikki isn't really the kind to look for that unless it's heavily important.]
Exactly, how many people got the chance to revisit their kid years during the experiment?
[Just plain curiosity... And that he wants to know how many of the kids he met while he was one are now adults in size.
Later in the day Ikki will be wandering around the village, checking shops and looking at everyone that crosses paths with him. No intense stares or anything, just a normal casual glance which may become firmer if the face is familiar to him. For most this doesn't mean much, but until today Ikki hadn't really paid much attention to what was going on in the village unless it was under attack or there was some kind of emergency or danger. It's also the first time he's walking around without his Pandora box.
Sooner or later, he'll end at the bar once again, drinking yesterday wasn't enough for him apparently.]

Are we sure the Malnosso are adults at all?
[Because they sound more like a bunch of kids with too much time for themselves and imagination. The dance thing would be humiliating and annoying but certainly the one with the animals takes the cake on the weirder.]
Yes, I had my thoughts over my head for a while when I was a kid. Annoying in perspective but I found it funny back then.
[Children.]

[Grin.] I guess kids would find that funny. I found it a bit invasive.

Invasive indeed, thought not more than someone who can read minds poking in yours.
[And probably there are people like that here, right?]
What's your name?
no subject
It's Nami. You?

[He has managed to stay under the radar in that aspect.]
Guess I couldn't be lucky for much longer.

[And he certainly hopes to be able to do that. And how will he enjoy it.]
But certainly I would prefer to remain as I have been lately. It's not as if there haven't been things happening to keep one distracted after all.

It wasn't exactly peaceful back at my world, either. In fact in comparison this place is far more peaceful.

[It's simply not his case.]

Not really, I was taken for training at a young age and since I became a Saint the only times I've had 'vacation time' were the times I was dead. At least I've gotten to see the complete defeat of some of the enemies that have been dragging on this war.

...you know, it says a lot for Luceti that she doesn't immediately freak out at hearing that.]
You die a lot at home?

I haven't bothered to count them, neither aim to make it a habit. But I've died more than twice in fact.
The Phoenix in my name is there for a reason, not only it's the rank I have as a Saint but like the phoenix I always raise from my own ashes when needed. Death and me don't get along well enough for me to remain with it for long.
[Rather, he's rejected by it most of the times. He can die, roam through some kind of an in-between and then return. Never allowed to go further in death, not even when Hades himself killed him. He deals with it casually and naturally, it's the way things are. Though in truth it seems as nothing else but a punishment, unable to reunite with Esmeralda in death and not just her, the Gold Saints, Pandora, one day his brother and the others will die, and him? Will the Phoenix keep his flames burning for eternity? To act casual and as if it wasn't a big deal is the easiest way to deal with it.]

[Trying to wrap mind around this.]
That doesn't sound like a fun experience, though.

[It's far worse than what many would assume. Even if he didn't die and was simply immortal, he has no wish to live eternally, or even long. But so long as his brothers are alive and fighting he'll keep returning... And worry about it when they die and he's still stuck in that rebirth cycle if it ever happens.]
But it can be useful, and many people would kill for this 'gift'.
