2nd Rise of the Phoenix ஜ Action

[Fire Luceti! Fire!!!

The forest is burning with flames that reach higher than many of the residents will have ever seen. There's something off in that fire thought, to begin with no animals are trying to escape from it. Another strange thing is the lack of smoke or heat that should accompany such a big fire. Yet the fire is there, as real as everything else, just lacking the normal effects it should have.

For anyone curious enough to check on it they will find they they can walk through the fire without burning or feeling even an inch warmer then before. Unless they come with evil intentions, in which chances are they will at the very least be burned a bit, and the force of the fire will increase as they approach its center. People without evil intentions will be able to waltz through it as if nothing was there, finding animals and vegetation inside the fire totally unharmed, and in what would be the center of the fire, they'll find Ikki, sitting on a rock with his Pandora Box besides him.

Eyes closed as he sits calmly, anyone capable of feeling or being affected even a bit by his Cosmos will probably notice a poke upon approaching and a great concentration in the young man.]

[Cautiously walking deeper into the forest, Edward spotted someone nearby who seemed to be the source of these flames. Uncertain of what to say, Edward lingered by the trees nearby to study the man.]

He must be a sorcerer of some kind...

[Quite surprised to see that the warrior heard him, Edward approached a little closer since it was obvious this man wasn't asleep like he thought. The fellow was meditating it seemed. Meditating amongst these faux flames in perfect harmony with the nature around him.] You are just a warrior, are you? In my realm, many would consider these flames to be an act of sorcery.

[Wondering quietly if any of his companions to view this fire from the town, Edward figured he mustn't have been the only person to interrupt this warrior's musings.]

Do you desire to be alone, sir?

[identity profile] melodiesoflute.livejournal.com 2010-05-05 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Training? Is this what you are doing?

[Somewhat intrigued by this warrior, Edward decides to sit amongst the harmless flames, and just watch for now.]

As long as I am not intruding, I don't mind lingering here.

[Quiet for a few minutes, the bard starts up again.]

What is your name, sir?

[identity profile] melodiesoflute.livejournal.com 2010-05-08 03:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah, I see...

[He really didn't understand what this Cosmos was, but he'll ask more about it later. Right now, introductions were long overdue.]

I am Edward Chris von Muir, the Prince of Damcyan. I cannot say I've ever heard of a Phoenix Saint before, but I take it you are a warrior monk of some kind; much like the monks of Fabul.

[identity profile] melodiesoflute.livejournal.com 2010-05-08 03:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Well...

Considering that Fabul's warrior monks are known to be quite proficient in their martial arts, I wouldn't be surprised if they kill in the name of their kingdom. Fang certainly was more than willing to aid me and my companions upon a perilous quest without a second thought.

I suppose Duty & God play a role in such matters, at least for Fabul's warrior monks.

You fight on the behalf of a goddess?!

[identity profile] melodiesoflute.livejournal.com 2010-05-10 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
[He smiled a little once he heard that.] It seems that your Goddess is just as valiant as the warriors who swear fealty to her.

A generous maiden who sacrifices her life for the well-being of the world around her.

[He sighed.]

She reminds me of someone I once knew.

Courage is rare, yet common amongst those capable of such devotion. Much is the same regarding those capable of wielding blades, a skill I've never mastered.

[The bard let out a soft chuckle as he confessed that truth. Remembering all the times he fled from battle in the past, Edward honestly felt guilty for not being as adept in battle as his comrades. There isn't much a bard can do in the middle of combat, but he tries his best to support his friends in anyway possible.]

Say, what you think of this world? This fake manufactured world reminds me of the lands I hail from, but only slightly.

[identity profile] melodiesoflute.livejournal.com 2010-05-16 01:50 am (UTC)(link)
That's what he said too...

[Surprised to hear such words from who seems to be a seasoned warrior, Edward felt at ease now. While Cecil may have stated the same as this man before, the bard always figured that the Prince of Baron was merely showing kindness towards him. It felt good to know that Cecil's words weren't meant to patronize him, but rather to uplift him.]

Ah? I mean this world itself is a fabricated lie, despite being as real as you and I. The Malnosso created this realm, did they not?

[identity profile] melodiesoflute.livejournal.com 2010-05-16 03:12 am (UTC)(link)
[Perhaps this fellow should have a talk with Kain in the future. That brute certainly seems fond of referring to Edward as 'useless' whenever the topic comes up.]

So you mean to say that world we tread upon is actually real in theory? A novel concept, I actually believed this realm to be crafted by their design alone without the aid of whatever deity that does exist here.

[identity profile] melodiesoflute.livejournal.com 2010-05-18 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
So the deities of this land could be in league with the Malnosso as well? That certainly is a novel concept on it's own, a frightening one...
