The forest is burning with flames that reach higher than many of the residents will have ever seen. There's something off in that fire thought, to begin with no animals are trying to escape from it. Another strange thing is the lack of smoke or heat that should accompany such a big fire. Yet the fire is there, as real as everything else, just lacking the normal effects it should have.

For anyone curious enough to check on it they will find they they can walk through the fire without burning or feeling even an inch warmer then before. Unless they come with evil intentions, in which chances are they will at the very least be burned a bit, and the force of the fire will increase as they approach its center. People without evil intentions will be able to waltz through it as if nothing was there, finding animals and vegetation inside the fire totally unharmed, and in what would be the center of the fire, they'll find Ikki, sitting on a rock with his Pandora Box besides him.

Eyes closed as he sits calmly, anyone capable of feeling or being affected even a bit by his Cosmos will probably notice a poke upon approaching and a great concentration in the young man.]

[Ikki hums in agreement, before he gives Smoker a calculating look.]

You have a strong Cosmos. I'm curious as if you are as strong as it seems to say.

A strong what now? [Smoke from the cigars makes a little question mark symbol.]

[Chuckles.]

Cosmos. An energy every living being posses, my Cosmos is what you are seeing in the form of fire around us.

[justicereigns]

And you can see mine? [Stares.]

No, but I can sense it. As well as the Cosmos of everyone else inside the barrier, it's part of the training to become a Saint. To learn to control one's Cosmos and learn to sense it on others, it helps to recognize people even before they reach us.

[justicereigns]

[Scrubs face with a glove hand.] All right... I think.

I consider myself pretty strong in any case. Whether the ... er... cosmos agree and how accurately or not, I have no idea.

Doesn't your world have anything like it? It can receive other names, but basically it's the energy inside of us that can be used at will after a lot of training. In my world I have heard it being called Ki too.

[Shrugs.]

Maybe I'm just hallucinating, but I would have swear that a moment ago the smoke of your cigars formed a question mark.

What? Oh. Hn. I ate the moku moku no mi. I can turn into and control smoke. [Changes an arm to a cloud of smoke, and back.]

Impressive. I've never seen anything like that. I take you're immune to attacks while in smoke form?

[justicereigns]

For the most part. I'm not immune to seastone or haki.

[uccellodifuoco]

And what are those? We don't have them in my world.

[justicereigns]

Seastone is a type of mineral. It exudes the energy of the ocean so all devil fruit users are weak to it. My jitte was tipped with it, but I can't seem to find it here. Haki is... I think what you were describing for. Sort of a lifeforce energy channeled outward. Gold Roger -- the last pirate King, was infamous for using it with great efficacy. When it's strong enough it cuts through logia.

Devil fruit is what gave you the power of turning in to smoke?

[A bit of a wild guess but since Smoker said that he wasn't immune to it and described that mineral as only affecting those "devil fruit users"...]

It sounds like haki is what I know as Cosmos, yes. Logia is what your powers are called?

[justicereigns]

Correct. There are several different devil fruit types. Logia, zoan, and paramecia. Logia allows its users to change into their elements. Sand, fire, smoke, magma. They're usually pretty untouchable because of it.

I would assume as much. Seeing as just in nature those elements are pretty unstoppable unless drastic measures are taken.

[Well, sand may not seem as dangerous as fire, smoke or magma. But he has seen sand storms and they are bad, besides it's just as difficult to contain as the others.]

And those devil fruits are at the reach of anyone in your world? It must make things difficult if the pirates also get hold of those.

[justicereigns]

Exactly.

Devil Fruits are rare given how powerful they can be, pirates tend to get them, or perhaps become pirates because of them. But yes, this is why the government has difficulties dealing with all the pirates.

Quite a troublesome situation. You said there are different types of "logia" and that the ones with that power are pretty much untouchable. Does that hold true in confrontations of "logia" against "logia"?

Back in my world elements normally follow a set of rules of dominance and submission. Like wind makes fire stronger but is stopped by earth and such.

[justicereigns]

Hn. Yes. Fire and smoke cancel each other out. So I learned. [Grumble growl mutter.] The hard way. Yet, magma is still hotter than fire. Enough to burn it.

And all devil fruit are weak to ocean.

[uccellodifuoco]

To ocean or just to large bodies of water? Ironic that pirates with such a power would be weak to the ocean, it makes seem as if they have a death wish becoming pirates.

[And it also says a lot about their power if they can become pirates without worrying about that.]

[justicereigns]

Ocean, but no devil fruit user can swim in fresh water either. Not that there was a lot of fresh water in my world.

But this is why most pirates rely on crews. No pirate captain can do everything himself. Make no mistake though, most pirates do have a death wish. It's very rare for any of them to reach and old age and most of them die from the natural hazards of the ocean; storms, starvation, illness and not from the marines.

Sailing the ocean equals to a death wish? Wouldn't that include you and those who chase them as having a death wish too?

[justicereigns]

[Shrugs.] Perhaps. But the marines are better equipped to handle the Grand Line. And our goal isn't to reach the end, simply prevent the subsequent chaos of all of the pirates trying.

I take the Grand Line is an ocean of your world? It has an end?

[He sounds actually surprised at the idea of an ocean having an end. True, in his world there are many seas and oceans supposedly delimited but one can't really say where they end or not.]

[justicereigns]

Yes. It goes mostly in one direction... [Realizes how unhelpful this is and tries to think of a better way to explain it.] In my world there's a long strip of land that circle it called the Red Line. That divides the world in half. Then the Grand Line crosses it, dividing the world into quarters. [Draws imaginary circle lines in the air.] The Grand Line is bordered by Calm Belts which no wind and thus make perfect breeding grounds for seakings. So the Grand Line really only goes in one direction: forwards from the "start" at Reverse Mountain. The end would be to reach around to the other side, but it's practically impossible. Only one man's ever done it before and come back alive.
