7th Rise of the Phoenix ஜ Voice/Action

[Ikki's currently walking around the village, not running but he's actually close to. He keeps looking around with a frown, his Cosmo reaching out trying to find something and failing. The Malnosso got him a curious gift, an arctic wolf cub. Why they thought he wanted one or would be good at handling it, he has no idea. Part of him does like the idea of having that animal with him, a companion of sorts, but really, he has never had time for pets or experience with them.

Which leaded him to his current problem. There's a wolf cub running all around the village, caring little about the snow or the surroundings. See him sneaking into shops and houses with the doors vaguely open and just in general run and play around. With Ikki trying to catch up with it. It would be easier if the animal's light vanilla fur stood up more in the snowed village as he keeps losing sight of it and the animal's Cosmo is still too small for Ikki to pick it up easily.]

Damnit! Hyoga! Come back here!

[The wolf cub, Hyoga, pays deaf ears to the calling. Probably because he's convinced that they are just playing. Help a newbie on the field of taking care of pets understand that the more he runs after it, the more the animal will keep running away?

Later in the day, once he's back home and has Hyoga with him, Ikki will make a voice post.]

Anyone around here knows anything about pet care? Dogs or wolves, specifically.

[Smoker just reaches out a white snake smoke arm to pick up the pup and carry it carefully back in.]

Heh. Cute. [Smoker doesn't call things cute and you didn't hear that.]

[Hyoga barks and whines for a moment when the smoke catches him, but he doesn't struggle or anything after that.

Ikki is honestly too frustrated to care if Smoker called it cute or not.]

Sure, don't try to run away from Smoker but you do it from me... You sure that's not dangerous for him?

[It's smoke after all, what if he breathes it? He's barely a cub.]

It's fine. I catch pirates like this all the time. It can only be breathed in if I allow it to be. [And since the smoke is part of his body, the only way he's going to do that is to kill someone, which Smoker doesn't do.]

Hn. I'm not letting it out anymore, not until it learns its name at least.

[Hyoga barks again.]

Hyoga was it?

[Pets the wolf cub under the chin with a single gloved finger.]

Yeah, maybe I should have gave it another name.

[Then again it fits it quite well. Hyoga barks happily and revels in the petting happily.]

Tch, had I known that was going to come out I wouldn't have pressed that stupid button.

[Chuckles softly, still petting more and ruffles behind the ears.]

He's not that bad.

Yeah, right. He's not that bad with you.

[The wolf cub is pretty happy with the attention and even attempts to lick Smoker's hand.]

He isn't anything like that with me.

[Ikki approaches them, intending to try to pet the animal. But Hyoga notices it and rather than wait decides to pounce on him.]

Argh! See? It even attacks me.

Tried getting a leash yet?

[Here Selphie, be greeted by a glare and a low growl. What are you giggling at, woman.]

Isn't it a bit young to have a leash? I don't think it's older than a month or so.

[Ikki, she's not phased in the least by your growling and glaring. She sticks her tongue out at you in response. Sheesh, what a sourpuss.]

It's never too early to start. You'll be able to get it used to one, the earlier you start using it.

Yeah, get them young and shape them the way you want. I see the point there.

[But he isn't really up for it neither he sounds happy with the idea, in fact he sounds mostly angry. But really, if that animal doesn't start obeying when he calls it, Ikki will have to get a leash.]

Wouldn't there be books on that sort of thing in the library? Maybe you should take it home and go there to check.

Books? Hn, I suppose that's true. I've never been much of the reader type though.

[Never had time for it but... It may be a good idea to start doing it here, since there's nothing else to do and what not.]

The animal is with me already. It came out from that statue at the plaza, I suppose it's my 'Christmas gift'.

[He doesn't sound very delighted.]

I'm sure there are some easy-to-follow books with visual aids in them. I doubt you'd need to do very much reading at all!

[Well, it's normal to ask, isn't it? Specially since due journal communication he isn't sure which Cosmo is yours and thus can't see it himself... And there are things that don't reflect on that so... Whatever.]

That's good to hear, I suppose. I know by experience that the alternative doesn't bring any positive results, neither negative but... Still not the best option.

[Sit and sulk and try to find an exit and be angry about it and what not hasn't helped him to find the exit after all.]

Well enough, mostly resting... And pushing buttons I shouldn't have pushed to avoid me stupid problems.

[Oh she just hasn't been asked that in so long that it threw her off a bit, that's all. Regardless, she nods to herself at his first few statements, and giggles lightly at his last one.]

[Well, isn't that odd? Mori watches as a white wolf cub rubs by, parking happily and apparently having a good time. Then Mori hears a man yelling for the cub... probably. Mori decides to try to help. He whistles low and long before turning his back to the cub and squatting down like he has something. Hopefully the noise will get the cub's attention and then his behavior will make it curious enough to come to him. Then he'll be able to give the cub back to it's owner.]

[The whistle, perks the cub's attention, quickly turning to the source of the sound and seeing Mori squatting down there. What is he doing? Maybe he has something? Off goes the little wolf happily with cheerful barks, running over the snow not minding it at all -natural seeing as it's a winter species-.

Ikki isn't that happy.]

Right, sure, go with everyone but the one who's calling for you.

[Urge to kill rising. Maybe he shouldn't have named it Hyoga after all.]

[Of course the cub is running off. It's a game. Once it comes close enough, Mori puts his hand on the cub's scruff and holds it. He meets the cub's eyes and waits for the little thing to feel his dominance, but calm nature. It'll still run off if he lets go, but it should stay still long enough for Ikki to come get it.]

[Mori looks up at Ikki and waits expectantly for him to come get the cub.]
