How many of you have gone to school? I don't mean studying about something specific like magic to be a sorcerer or however that's done. I mean a general school, with several classes and a lot of hours sitting on a desk doing nothing but listening to the teacher. Do that type of schools even exist in your world?

[No, he hasn't been thinking about the whole school thing since his talk with Selphie about it. No, he's not asking because she seemed to find it kind of important or at least useful. And that filter doesn't mean he doesn't want her to know that he's starting to be interested, because he isn't. Definitively.]


[After making that post and talking with whoever cared to answer, Ikki will be found wandering around town. He doesn't seem to be in a great mood, which isn't unusual but those that know him even a bit will probably notice that he seems to be in a worse mood than normal. He will be accompanied by his per, the wolf cub Hyoga, which will be running around happily and playing with him.

He will also end stalking wherever Selphie may be. As well as those he knew and the people from the "family" he got for ten days, but you won't see him bothering to go to talk to anyone unless they notice him first. Really, he had decided to pay no mind to the experiment and just throw it to his back, like everything else that bothered him. It was easier that way, to keep moving forward and not look back. Don't worry about the stalking, it's nothing serious, it's basically just that if they are outside and around Ikki will spend several minutes somewhere around them in a radius of ten meters doing virtually nothing besides being there.]

[Well at that age he was still around orphanages so it's almost normal.]

And what do you do in the kindergarten exactly?

Mnnn... draw pictures, sing songs, play with other children, learn to write and read.

I remember maths besides writing and reading, and history and a bunch of other things I don't remember the name of. But drawing pictures, singing songs and playing was only for after class.

[Unless there were potential parents coming to visit, in which case the time was spent making everything perfect and acting like robots. Not that Ikki ever bent that way, but that only served to make any potential parent firm in that they didn't want him even if he was Shun's brother.]

Ah, Kirimi learn a bit of Maths too! Math is hard... Only after school? your school sounds boring...

And not always, it really was boring and pointless.

[Which is why he often tried to skip classes... Until Shun got to him and pouted and whined and threatened him with staying with him and skip class too and thus get in trouble as well. Sometimes he wishes Shun had never grown up, he was easier to handle when all he did was drink his milk, get diapers dirty, sleep and cry when something was wrong.

And now that he thinks about babies a flash of memory from the experiment comes to him. Kirimi, that was a name he had used then, one he had known.]

Useful, many people seem to think that but I've yet to see anyone showing proofs of it.

[Lots of big words thrown around, but so far no one had said that thanks to all those things they managed to do something or achieve something. The closest they got was to say that thanks to enduring it they could start studying for something that really was useful for them, so at the end school itself was just an annoying requirement rather than something useful.]

I haven't heard anyone saying that going to this kind of school helped them for anything except getting into another type of school.

[Maybe this is a bit complicated for a little girl after all. Ikki isn't good at dealing with kids, honestly, he wasn't good at it even when he was one.]

Mnn... but that is what kindergarten is supposed to do, isn't it? Kirimi have to go to kindergarten first then go to elementary school... there are lots of different schools to go to.

Honestly I don't know, kid. For me any school has no meaning unless it has a set and specific goal other than getting into another school, it sounds like a vicious cycle for me.

Val-neesama, you mean Valvalis?
