12th Rise of the Phoenix ஜ Voice

[The feed starts with a barking wolf cub staring at the open journal on the floor. The image isn't clear but it seems as if the book has fell. The animal paws all over it, sniffing at it before it starts to bite it and tear pages out as if it was a chewing toy.

At least until Ikki spots his pet. Two hands grab the animal, holding it in the air and shifting to hold it as a baby before he recovers the journal and puts it on the table.]

Stupid animal, what part of this does look like a boot?!

[He shakes the wolf lightly, but all he gets in response to the scolding is a bark and a lick on the face.]

Whatever... Can't believe it'll soon be a year since you're here. Guess it was time you broke something for real.

[Ikki looks at the journal, checking it.]

Is this still working or I'm going to have to find a mechanic? Or whoever would fix this book, I don't think a librarian would do.

Well, there's gotta be some kinda machinery in these things, so a mechanic sounds about right.

[Nevermind he doesn't think there are that many mechanics who could actually fix it...]

At least seems to still be working well enough... I won't bet on if there's a mechanic that could fix this though.

Maybe you could find a... specialist? Doesn't seem much point if it's working, though.

A pet that doesn't make a hobby of attempting to destroy things would be nice. Or not having to worry about those journals.

You're just gonna have to work at that guy a little until he learns to stop it, that's all. [Getting Absol not to tear his Bases apart took a while though...]

Maybe more than a little, this one is stubborn. Nothing I tried so far has stopped him from chewing some of the footwear.

Tried getting something it doesn't like on there? Bitter stuff works, I guess.

I did. This one seems to actually like bitter stuff. I even tried with lemon juice for the acid, but he doesn't care.

... Huh. Something sweet instead, maybe?

He cringed at first when I tried with something sweet, but he kept trying until he grew used to it or came to like it, don 't know which one it was.

... Spray him with a little water when he gets too rough?

[More like stubborn... Or the type that will just eat anything.]

[Though with his luck the wolf will just think it's a game.]

Wellll... there's a chance he'll actually enjoy it; but it's worth a shot, right?

[In that case people like Seiya would be geniuses.]

I suppose it is. At worse I will just end with him doing it even more to provoke me to spray him with water if he enjoys it or thinks it's a game.

... Well, if it gets that bad, you can always just find something else for him to play with?

To use as a chewing toy? That's how I have been going so far.

Well, what are you using for it? He might've gotten bored of it already.

Footwear, he has a wide variety of it, though he prefers Smoker's boots for some reason. I tried with a toy bone but he only pays attention to it when I pick it up.

... Huh. Maybe if you tried the reverse, and just covered the bone with something he likes?

[Did you miss the part in which he mentioned this beast seems to like everything.]

I suppose I could get some bones and cover them with different things. One of them is bond to be of his liking over the rest.

[But he's gotta have a favourite!]
