[The feed starts with a barking wolf cub staring at the open journal on the floor. The image isn't clear but it seems as if the book has fell. The animal paws all over it, sniffing at it before it starts to bite it and tear pages out as if it was a chewing toy.

At least until Ikki spots his pet. Two hands grab the animal, holding it in the air and shifting to hold it as a baby before he recovers the journal and puts it on the table.]

Stupid animal, what part of this does look like a boot?!

[He shakes the wolf lightly, but all he gets in response to the scolding is a bark and a lick on the face.]

Whatever... Can't believe it'll soon be a year since you're here. Guess it was time you broke something for real.

[Ikki looks at the journal, checking it.]

Is this still working or I'm going to have to find a mechanic? Or whoever would fix this book, I don't think a librarian would do.

I would like to talk about books. My hobby is reading, and I really, really like books. They're all very interesting, and I can keep reading them even though I've read a lot already. It's especially nice to read in the library..

[ voice ]

[No, really, he just can't get what's so fun of that.]

You do sound like someone who really likes books. And who doesn't get out much.

[Also as a perfect bully target but we're trying to not talk about that.]

... I get out a lot. I go to the library almost every day. [ that's not what he meant, Kotomi.. ]

I'm pretty sure that doesn't count. Don't you ever go to other places besides the library?

Not really.. [ she blinks cluelessly to herself. ] The library is the only interesting place to go.

The last time I've been to a restaurant, I was with my parents and still very young.

So you haven't gone to the ones here? Do you make your food yourself or something?

Back home I made it by myself, but.. here I'm staying with Fuuko-chan and Nagisa-chan, so we take turns.

[ voice ]

... So you only go out to go to the library.

[He's not the biggest social butterfly or whatever but, come on, that's just... Crazy. And boring.]

[ she nods, not even realising that won't be recorded. sorry, Ikki, she's just a little weird (and slightly crazy) in general.. ]

That's right. I only go out to the library to read.

[Ikki snorts, loudly.]

If that's what suits you... I don't know what you guys find so interesting in a book to keep your noses buried on them so much. Sounds to me as if you're just missing life completely.

[That said by the guy who likes to spend his time alone in his volcano, but really, at least he keeps himself in this world and stays aware of it. Rather than go and drown his mind with loads of useless things.]

[ There's a pause, but then she speaks up again, even though there's something slightly hesitant about it. ]

I'm not wasting my life as long as I have fun books to read..

No one said you're wasting it. Just that it seems that you're missing a lot, but if that's what you prefer, suit yourself.
