[The feed starts with a barking wolf cub staring at the open journal on the floor. The image isn't clear but it seems as if the book has fell. The animal paws all over it, sniffing at it before it starts to bite it and tear pages out as if it was a chewing toy.

At least until Ikki spots his pet. Two hands grab the animal, holding it in the air and shifting to hold it as a baby before he recovers the journal and puts it on the table.]

Stupid animal, what part of this does look like a boot?!

[He shakes the wolf lightly, but all he gets in response to the scolding is a bark and a lick on the face.]

Whatever... Can't believe it'll soon be a year since you're here. Guess it was time you broke something for real.

[Ikki looks at the journal, checking it.]

Is this still working or I'm going to have to find a mechanic? Or whoever would fix this book, I don't think a librarian would do.

The wolf goddess out in the forest. Big huge wolf. She makes sure pirates don't steal the trees for wood. [So he likes her.]

[Uses finger quotes.] "Goddess." More like a spirit. She doesn't have any magic that I know of, and she's trapped here like the rest of us.

[He hums, but he's not really that convinced. Technically that's how the deities he knows work as well, spiritual entities or basically souls that take a mortal body. The magic and powers they have is also somewhat questionable, actually. He knows it well, he has fought all the deities he has met and killed all but one.

He looks at Hyoga.]

A veterinarian could also work I suppose...

No idea. Maybe a doctor could do it, or just healing magic.

[He doesn't really like the idea of going to a deity of any kind for... Anything. At least not when he's conscious of the other's condition. As far as he knows no deity will ever do anything for mortals without there being a huge trick or but behind it all. Not even Athena.]

Or I can just grab a pair of pincers and take out the old tooth.

At least check in with the clinic first. Or Labrador might have an herbal poultice.

[He nods, that sounds like a plan he likes. Though his dependency of actual doctors is minimal thanks to having had to take care of himself always, he accepts them. It's definitively a better option than the goddess one.]

Fine, let's go then. Clinic first.

[Nods.] Reasonable enough. When do you want to go? [Takes down his jitte in case they decide "now."]

"Now" sounds like a good time to me.

[Nothing on his agenda and he's sure there's nothing on Smoker's either. He may already be making a beeline to the door with the dog in his arms.]

[And so they went on an epic quest to get their wolf-pup's teeth checked. Possibly in muted silence since they never talk much...]

[Much probably. Specially because Ikki talks even less when he's worried. And he's worried now, even if he won't say it. It's okay, Hyoga will bark and whine enough for them both until it gets his teeth fixed by the magic of handwaving or something.]

[Magic handwaving is win. And Smoker ruffles the pup's head.]

[Hyoga barks happily as an answer. Though it still must hurt him the animal looks clearly better.]

I wonder if this means we will stop needing to get new footwear every month.
