1st Rise of the Phoenix ஜ Action
[Ikki is walking through the village with relative calm, he's not pleased and it's obvious in his body language that he's stressed and annoyed. Who wouldn't be, having found himself in an unknown place, a place where he didn't intend to be?
The fact that no matter how much he expanded his Cosmos, he couldn't find his brothers' Cosmos or the Cosmos of anyone he knew didn't help in the situation. Still, he looks quite sure of where he's going, even if he's not, and only the loose-fitting white cotton pants he's wearing point out that he's new in the place.
Those particularly sensible to spiritual energy may notice his strong Cosmos -full of contained anger and hate, directed to no one but obviously there- constantly reaching out and basically checking everyone he can reach. Searching for something, or someone, that would explain him being stuck in that place. Unable to return to where he intended to go or contact his friends, so far he's not having any luck and the idea he's starting to get doesn't please him.]

No, I'm not. What's this place?
no subject
[ She considers - how to explain. ] Basically it's a place that ... a lot of people from different places have been brought, by people called the Malnosso.
no subject
You mean that people are pulled out from their dimensions to this one?
[He frowns, "Malnosso", that's definitively not the name of a God.]
no subject
no subject
Is that the situation for everyone here? The whole village?
no subject
Yes, or at least all of the people in the village who I've talked to anyway.
no subject
[Where "easy to reach" means "easy to find and kick in their asses until they beg for mercy and return everyone to their dimension before killing them so it doesn't happen again". Normally one would need some experience dealing with Ikki to get that but just from his tone the general intention can be noticed.]
no subject
Oh, and there's a guide that's been put together by a woman named Raine. I think she's been here for a long time, and she's been quite thorough about putting together what newcomers may need to know.
no subject
What journal?
no subject
When we're brought here, we usually have two things. Our clothing - or a substitute pair until we can get to the store for it - and a journal. Like this. [ She produces said book. ] It allows us to communicate with everyone else here.
no subject
He frowns at the book.]
Tch... I think I saw one like that when I woke up.
[He crosses his arms, now he has to go back his way and try to find that book? Awesome.]
So I'm supposed to have that book on the whole time?
no subject
no subject
I barely paid any attention to it, I had other things to worry about.
[To pick up books from the ground isn't a personal hobby of his anyway. And even know he has something else to worry about.]
The store, how much does it charge for our things?
[Having to buy his Phoenix Cloth... Several years in a living hell to get it and now he had to go and buy it. It was so ridiculous it made him want to laugh at it.]
no subject
Food, shelter, clothing - anything you need is free of charge, it seems. Do you see that building over there? [ She shifts her grip on her bags again, pointing in the direction of the store. ] That's the general store. You should be able to find everything you need there, or just about.
no subject
Ikki frowns, eying the bags the girl has been juggling with the whole time. At first he didn't have time and... He still doesn't have it but it doesn't seem he can get out soon. And she has been answering his questions honestly from what he felt.]
Do you want me to help you with those bags?
no subject
Um - sure, but ... [ Well his belongings weren't likely to get away anytime soon. ] Alright, thank you. My house isn't far from here.
no subject
So he reaches for her bags and gets a good hold of them. He doesn't think his Cloth will go anywhere, and even if it did he can sense it. The journal... Isn't a priority.]
Okay, I'll follow you.
no subject
[ Full of anger and hate... that sounds like someone else she knew. Still, once Ikki takes hold of her bags, she clutches the journal in both arms, starting along the road. A pause as she draws near the Welcome Center, and she indicates it. ]
You remember when I said that housing was free? That's the Welcome Center. It's primarily a place where new arrivals can stay until they find a place here. I've never me the person who runs it, but I hear she's nice.
no subject
[He's used to it after all. A Saint's connection with his Cloth is close enough for him to be get quickly used to be called by the name of the Cloth. The fact that there's only one Cloth per person helps, and anyway not everyone has the time to memorize everyone's names, so calling them by the Cloth they wear is the fastest way.
He looks at the building and nods, memorizing its location. Housing doesn't bother him thought, he has lived inside a volcano after all. In fact...]
Is there a volcano around?
no subject
I -- um, a volcano? Hn... I don't think so... there are mountains, and there's a desert - I don't know how much of Luceti has been explored, but I don't remember seeing anything about a volcano in the map.
no subject
Phoenix is my rank. I'm the only one with that rank so it often serves as my name anyway.
[He hums at her answer. Due his training place and the nature of the Phoenix' Cloth, volcanoes have always felt quite homely for him. Not to mention that staying in one helps him to heal his owns faster.]
I'll go check the Welcome Center then.
[Yes, he asked about a volcano go to live there. There's no misunderstanding, even if it may sound like it.]
no subject
Meanwhile, over a small bridge, and Polka points to a rather impressive two story building. ] There's my house. [ Looks way too big for one person doesn't it? Also pardon the curious glance - that.. he surely wasn't asking about volcanos for THAT reason. No way. ]
no subject
I don't really have a preference, Ikki is enough thought. Unless you know someone else called that way.
[Ikki eyes the house, he can't feel anyone else inside of it. He gets a glimpse of the curious glance thought but he decides to ignore it for the time being. Instead he allows himself to be curious.]
Do you live alone?
no subject
Okay, Ikki then. [ She certainly doesn't know anyone else called Ikki or Phoenix. The question though, makes her smile fade a little. ]
I do now. The Malnosso... sent my friends away. Of course Foot is still with me - she's a new arrival just like you. [ It's still way too big for her, but she's not willing to move into someplace smaller. ]
no subject
So the Malnosso really control everything here.
[Here's Ikki wondering if there would be a way to lure those Malnosso out of their hiding place. Unless they have abilities like Mö's they shouldn't be able to send people anywhere from a great distance, which means they should get out at least for that.]
Foot?
[He has heard his own share of strange names but "Foot" enters a new category.]
