1st Rise of the Phoenix ஜ Action

[Ikki is walking through the village with relative calm, he's not pleased and it's obvious in his body language that he's stressed and annoyed. Who wouldn't be, having found himself in an unknown place, a place where he didn't intend to be?

The fact that no matter how much he expanded his Cosmos, he couldn't find his brothers' Cosmos or the Cosmos of anyone he knew didn't help in the situation. Still, he looks quite sure of where he's going, even if he's not, and only the loose-fitting white cotton pants he's wearing point out that he's new in the place.

Those particularly sensible to spiritual energy may notice his strong Cosmos -full of contained anger and hate, directed to no one but obviously there- constantly reaching out and basically checking everyone he can reach. Searching for something, or someone, that would explain him being stuck in that place. Unable to return to where he intended to go or contact his friends, so far he's not having any luck and the idea he's starting to get doesn't please him.]

[ She smiles faintly. ] It's called Luceti. Um..

[ She considers - how to explain. ] Basically it's a place that ... a lot of people from different places have been brought, by people called the Malnosso.

Yes, that's right. A lot of people who have been brought here refer to this place as a prison ... seeing as there doesn't appear to be any way of leaving. At least not voluntarily.

[ A lot of people weren't happy about it either. ]

Yes, or at least all of the people in the village who I've talked to anyway.

Oh... No, I'm afraid not. [ Sometimes they just come and take you, but Polka hasn't experienced that yet herself. ] I'm sure if you ask over the journal, someone might have an idea of how to contact them - there must be some way.

Oh, and there's a guide that's been put together by a woman named Raine. I think she's been here for a long time, and she's been quite thorough about putting together what newcomers may need to know.

[ Eh? Polka tilts her head, and then juggles the bags in her hands for a moment, so she can get at the journal she'd tucked inside one. ]

When we're brought here, we usually have two things. Our clothing - or a substitute pair until we can get to the store for it - and a journal. Like this. [ She produces said book. ] It allows us to communicate with everyone else here.

[identity profile] floral-powder.livejournal.com 2010-04-11 08:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Well... it is a good idea to keep it with you. But it has a habit of turning up wherever you are anyway. [ It's a stalker. ] Did you leave it behind?

[identity profile] floral-powder.livejournal.com 2010-04-11 09:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Nothing.

Food, shelter, clothing - anything you need is free of charge, it seems. Do you see that building over there? [ She shifts her grip on her bags again, pointing in the direction of the store. ] That's the general store. You should be able to find everything you need there, or just about.

[ Some members might arrange a trade system in the form of favors - Polka was happy to just hep out. At the offer though, she blinks in surprise, and smiles. ]

Um - sure, but ... [ Well his belongings weren't likely to get away anytime soon. ] Alright, thank you. My house isn't far from here.

[identity profile] floral-powder.livejournal.com 2010-04-11 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Thank you. What's your name? I'm Polka.

[ Full of anger and hate... that sounds like someone else she knew. Still, once Ikki takes hold of her bags, she clutches the journal in both arms, starting along the road. A pause as she draws near the Welcome Center, and she indicates it. ]

You remember when I said that housing was free? That's the Welcome Center. It's primarily a place where new arrivals can stay until they find a place here. I've never me the person who runs it, but I hear she's nice.

[ Hm... If Phoenix was a title... wait, was it a title of respect? Ikki must be his name -- oh decisions decisions! AH! She's pulled out of deliberation by the question, looking momentarily startled. ]

I -- um, a volcano? Hn... I don't think so... there are mountains, and there's a desert - I don't know how much of Luceti has been explored, but I don't remember seeing anything about a volcano in the map.

[identity profile] floral-powder.livejournal.com 2010-04-12 12:02 am (UTC)(link)
Oh... Oh! [ Okay, so ... wait, no, she probably should still address him by rank. ] It's okay to call you Phoenix, then? Or Phoenix Ikki? ... Do you have a preference? [ Sheesh, she has to make it so needlessly complicated!

Meanwhile, over a small bridge, and Polka points to a rather impressive two story building. ] There's my house. [ Looks way too big for one person doesn't it? Also pardon the curious glance - that.. he surely wasn't asking about volcanos for THAT reason. No way. ]

[identity profile] floral-powder.livejournal.com 2010-04-12 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
[ Aww, lookit that, he can smile! Do it more Ikki! ]

Okay, Ikki then. [ She certainly doesn't know anyone else called Ikki or Phoenix. The question though, makes her smile fade a little. ]

I do now. The Malnosso... sent my friends away. Of course Foot is still with me - she's a new arrival just like you. [ It's still way too big for her, but she's not willing to move into someplace smaller. ]
