The forest is burning with flames that reach higher than many of the residents will have ever seen. There's something off in that fire thought, to begin with no animals are trying to escape from it. Another strange thing is the lack of smoke or heat that should accompany such a big fire. Yet the fire is there, as real as everything else, just lacking the normal effects it should have.

For anyone curious enough to check on it they will find they they can walk through the fire without burning or feeling even an inch warmer then before. Unless they come with evil intentions, in which chances are they will at the very least be burned a bit, and the force of the fire will increase as they approach its center. People without evil intentions will be able to waltz through it as if nothing was there, finding animals and vegetation inside the fire totally unharmed, and in what would be the center of the fire, they'll find Ikki, sitting on a rock with his Pandora Box besides him.

Eyes closed as he sits calmly, anyone capable of feeling or being affected even a bit by his Cosmos will probably notice a poke upon approaching and a great concentration in the young man.]

Seeing as people get revived here after some time, maybe it wouldn't be such a big loss.

[He's just being sarcastic, of course it would be a bad move in any way. Even if part of him would almost feel satisfied if given the chance.]

Maybe, but if you can't control their memories when they wake up out of it, it could cause a lot of long lasting problems.

Well, they say people revive missing something, right? With some luck they would be missing those memories, or without being able to talk.

Easier to ignore that way.

That would be much too convenient for our captors to be nice enough to do us that favor I bet. [Chuckles.]

Our captors are supposedly a human race as well, right? If your Tenryuubito are as noisy as the person I'm thinking of was back in the day, the Malnosso themselves may bring them here mute right from the start. They are said to watch the journals too so they would suffer them as well.

Heh. Then in that case they're probably smart enough not to bother with them at all. Assuming the Malnosso do choose who they bring. And why.

I've heard they bring us to the inside of the barrier but not to this world. So probably they will just leave them outside if they happen to arrive here somehow.

Don't think we'll be missing something big if that happens.

Cosmos. An energy every living being posses, my Cosmos is what you are seeing in the form of fire around us.

No, but I can sense it. As well as the Cosmos of everyone else inside the barrier, it's part of the training to become a Saint. To learn to control one's Cosmos and learn to sense it on others, it helps to recognize people even before they reach us.

I consider myself pretty strong in any case. Whether the ... er... cosmos agree and how accurately or not, I have no idea.

Doesn't your world have anything like it? It can receive other names, but basically it's the energy inside of us that can be used at will after a lot of training. In my world I have heard it being called Ki too.

Maybe I'm just hallucinating, but I would have swear that a moment ago the smoke of your cigars formed a question mark.

What? Oh. Hn. I ate the moku moku no mi. I can turn into and control smoke. [Changes an arm to a cloud of smoke, and back.]

Impressive. I've never seen anything like that. I take you're immune to attacks while in smoke form?

For the most part. I'm not immune to seastone or haki.

And what are those? We don't have them in my world.

Seastone is a type of mineral. It exudes the energy of the ocean so all devil fruit users are weak to it. My jitte was tipped with it, but I can't seem to find it here. Haki is... I think what you were describing for. Sort of a lifeforce energy channeled outward. Gold Roger -- the last pirate King, was infamous for using it with great efficacy. When it's strong enough it cuts through logia.

Devil fruit is what gave you the power of turning in to smoke?

[A bit of a wild guess but since Smoker said that he wasn't immune to it and described that mineral as only affecting those "devil fruit users"...]

It sounds like haki is what I know as Cosmos, yes. Logia is what your powers are called?

Correct. There are several different devil fruit types. Logia, zoan, and paramecia. Logia allows its users to change into their elements. Sand, fire, smoke, magma. They're usually pretty untouchable because of it.

I would assume as much. Seeing as just in nature those elements are pretty unstoppable unless drastic measures are taken.

[Well, sand may not seem as dangerous as fire, smoke or magma. But he has seen sand storms and they are bad, besides it's just as difficult to contain as the others.]

And those devil fruits are at the reach of anyone in your world? It must make things difficult if the pirates also get hold of those.

Exactly.

Devil Fruits are rare given how powerful they can be, pirates tend to get them, or perhaps become pirates because of them. But yes, this is why the government has difficulties dealing with all the pirates.
