[Fire Luceti! Fire!!!

The forest is burning with flames that reach higher than many of the residents will have ever seen. There's something off in that fire thought, to begin with no animals are trying to escape from it. Another strange thing is the lack of smoke or heat that should accompany such a big fire. Yet the fire is there, as real as everything else, just lacking the normal effects it should have.

For anyone curious enough to check on it they will find they they can walk through the fire without burning or feeling even an inch warmer then before. Unless they come with evil intentions, in which chances are they will at the very least be burned a bit, and the force of the fire will increase as they approach its center. People without evil intentions will be able to waltz through it as if nothing was there, finding animals and vegetation inside the fire totally unharmed, and in what would be the center of the fire, they'll find Ikki, sitting on a rock with his Pandora Box besides him.

Eyes closed as he sits calmly, anyone capable of feeling or being affected even a bit by his Cosmos will probably notice a poke upon approaching and a great concentration in the young man.]

I see. And you fight evil I assume?

In the name of the Goddess Athena, I fight against those that search the destruction of humans.

[justicereigns]

Including other humans with that goal?

[uccellodifuoco]

There is no difference for me. Be it a God, a human, a demon or an angel from Heavens, if they search the destruction of humans and oppose Athena, they are my enemies and I'll fight against them until they are defeated.

Evil likes to spread to anything that can be turned by it.

[justicereigns]

Good. [Self-satisfied nod.]

Sounds about right. More like a plague than anything else.

One we can't get rid off, thought it's probably for the better. Without evil to remind us of our values, everything we stand for would lose its meaning in the long run. Just like light will turn anyone blind if they keep staring at it without looking at the shadows at times.

[justicereigns]

Perhaps. I'd miss my job if it was unnecessary, but I don't know that I'd be wholly ungrateful.

Moot point anyway. [Sigh.]

I wouldn't miss the endless war.

[But he would worry about other things. He's an Athena's Saint and will follow her everywhere, but only as far as he wants in the end, if she were to become corrupted... He isn't sure what he would do but he's ready to confront her anyway. And a world too peaceful and where she's the only one at power seems like a dangerous temptation in his opinion. Still he has trust in her at the same time, so everything is simply reduced to a crazy "what if".]

Mind if I ask what is your job? I take it's related to fighting the evil-doers, is that right?

[justicereigns]

Correct. I follow justice. True justice. [Gestures to the back of his jacket, the wings are folded underneath thanks to his own training.] In my world, I chased pirates.

[uccellodifuoco]

Are pirates a big problem in your world? There are some pirates in mine too but they aren't a main problem, specially as long as people don't sail through the waters were they are contained.

[justicereigns]

There aren't any oceans without pirates in my world. The more dangerous the ocean, the more heavily pirates travel it. My world is mostly ocean with some islands, so sailing is the only means for trade. The individual countries can't deal with pirates alone since they leave too quickly so it falls on the world government's marines.

So the marines are dedicated mainly to the persecution of pirates?

[justicereigns]

Justice. Protecting people from pirates is just the main job we have. Some marines let their judgement get clouded by absolute justice, but not always.

[uccellodifuoco]

Justice is a complex thing to fight for. It's easy to become blinded by it, or rather by what one believes that justice is.

That's why I prefer to simply say that I fight for Athena. I'm no one to say what is true justice after all.

[justicereigns]

Mm. True justice is doing what's right, because it needs to be done; however much it might hurt or be difficult.

And fighting for Athena? Much the same way would you say?

[uccellodifuoco]

The problem with that would be that what it's right may differ from person to person. For some, killing a person who is balancing between life and death, suffering an endless pain, will seem as the right thing to do. For others, the right thing would be to do everything they can to keep that person alive as long as possible even if it only serves to prolong the pain and wait.

I fight for Athena's justice, but if hers is true justice or not is something I can't judge. I can just believe in it and do my job, I don't care about anything else.

[justicereigns]

[Shrugs.] Fair enough.

[uccellodifuoco]

What about you? Does the justice you fight fore match the one of your world's government?

[justicereigns]

Hn. Not always. That's why I'll do what I must.

For the most part I'd like to say it does. They just go about it too stupidly and let petty things get in the way.

[uccellodifuoco]

That sounds familiar. Are any of those pirates from your world around here?

[It wouldn't be a bad thing to get to hear about them just in case.]

[justicereigns]

Yes.

Blackbeard's the worst of them. No sense of honor, even for a pirate. Strange as it may sound, Straw-Hat's the most dangerous, but he -- [Chews on cigars and debates whether to take this to his grave and never tell a soul which really he's inclined to do.] Is difficult to hate. [There. Honest and wouldn't get him in too much trouble with anyone.] Straw-Hat's crew run the gambit on skills, in my world, Nico Robin would be considered perhaps the most dangerous -- I don't know if she's here. And here, probably Roronoa Zoro -- aside from Straw-Hat himself of course.

I've heard the Whitebeard pirates might be here, in which case they're also extremely dangerous. Evil is... another matter. [Winces, not wanting to admit it, but it is very ambiguous.]

[uccellodifuoco]

Hn... Are you going to keep up your work here?

[He would, if a Specter showed up he's not afraid of admitting that he would attack before bothering to ask questions. Even if it's another world, even if the war is already over, he's of the believe that's better to show them why it's a bad idea to cause problems before anything else at the very least.]

[justicereigns]

[Heavy sigh.] I don't know. In the case of some pirates; they absolutely need to be locked up, but how to do that... [Shakes head.] I'll find a way. The others trouble me. [Because he knows Straw-Hat isn't pure evil, just going to become the pirate king.] Some pirates have offenses to their name that would make them not go through your fires if you speak the truth and the others... would probably come talk to you same as I did. [Grinds teeth, because that frustrates him.]

I'll follow my justice, wherever it takes me. [Shrugs. It's all he can do.]

[Ikki nods at that respectfully.]

That would be the best course of action, since here our laws are meaningless. Only our own sense of justice stands to guide us.

[Pirates who aren't evil... In his world that's quite an impossible feat, but he understands that it's possible. As possible as people willingly fighting to destroy the world, convinced that they are saving it somehow, fooled by a God.]

Exactly. Although there are some pretty universal laws, and I don't think too many people come from a system where there isn't crime and punishment. [Rubs the back of his neck.] It should be doable.
